Our company has been working for a long time on major projects in the field of Document processing and AI. With the changes brought about by AI over the past two years, I was interested in the quality that affordable tools from reliable providers can offer private customers in 2026.
Which functions did I rate as necessary during the search? Priority descending.
- Automatic export to Elster incl. receipts, e.g. PDF.
- Cheaper than €3 per month.
- Automated import from various bank accounts.
- Automatic allocation of sales to the respective tax category.
- Mobile and desktop use possible
- Integrated document management
- Receipt of receipts can be automated by forwarding them by e-mail.
- Split postings: Splitting of postings, e.g. between interest and repayment or basic rent and ancillary costs.
- Continuing obligations, e.g. cell phone contracts, individually configurable.
Disclaimer: We do not work together with Buhl Data Service GmbH. The following article is completely independent was created.
I came across the provider Buhl, better known as WISO Steuer.

Conclusion - advantages and disadvantages of the Finanzblick software from Buhl in 2026
The pricing is very attractive. Unfortunately, Finanzblick has various minor teething problems.
My support ticket about the very long loading times due to faulty logging service was processed and resolved within 2 days. I would not have expected such good customer support.

When using it, it previously felt like you always had to wait 10 seconds between clicks for the respective page to load. After the ticket was processed, the following error message was resolved.

A mini document management system makes it possible to assign receipts to account transactions. Unfortunately, there are also teething problems here. If you create your own contract that generates monthly or annual debits, the uploaded document is unfortunately not automatically linked. Instead, it takes a long search to find it in the inbox and then you have to add it to the contract again.
However, the automatic upload of documents via e-mail upload is very practical. Until the problem is fixed, you should get into the habit of uploading the documents by e-mail and then filing them from the inbox. This process seems to be more stable with Finanzblick from Wiso / Buhl.

Unfortunately, contracts that have already been created are not currently included in the »forecast«. The forecast of sales on the account appears to be merely an update of the sales already „seen“ by Finanzblick. It would be desirable for the forecast of account turnover to take into account contracts that have already been created before the first booking in the forecast. Unfortunately, the screen host had to be almost completely pixelated, but it helps to find the forecast of your own sales better.

However, the automatic categorization of sales, even when importing historical data via CSV, is an initial basis for manually adjusting incorrect categories.

Import of sales via CSV
Finanzblick from Wiso / Buhl enables the automatic import of sales from linked bank accounts.
A CSV import makes it possible to import historical data.
Import from Comdirect
First you have to create three new columns.

The first column is named „Recipient/Client“, for example. And insert the following formula from line 2. Copy this formula to the bottom.
=WENNFEHLER(
GLÄTTEN(
TEIL(D2;
WENN(ISTFEHLER(FINDEN("Empfänger:";D2));
FINDEN("Auftraggeber:";D2)+13;
FINDEN("Empfänger:";D2)+10);
WENN(ISTFEHLER(FINDEN("Empfänger:";D2));
FINDEN("Buchungstext:";D2;FINDEN("Auftraggeber:";D2))-FINDEN("Auftraggeber:";D2)-13;
FINDEN("Kto/IBAN:";D2)-FINDEN("Empfänger:";D2)-10)
)
);
C2
)Then create a new column. I have named this column Purpose. The purpose can be extracted from the posting text issued by Comdirect using the following formula.
=WENNFEHLER(
GLÄTTEN(
TEIL(D2;
FINDEN("Buchungstext:";D2)+13;
WENN(ISTFEHLER(FINDEN("Ref.";D2));
LÄNGE(D2);
FINDEN("Ref.";D2)-FINDEN("Buchungstext:";D2)-13)
)
);
""
)Usually only outgoing bookings receive an IBAN. The IBAN, if specified, can be extracted using the following formula.
=WENNFEHLER(
GLÄTTEN(
TEIL(D2;
FINDEN("IBAN:";D2)+5;
WENN(ISTFEHLER(FINDEN("BLZ/BIC:";D2));
22;
FINDEN("BLZ/BIC:";D2)-FINDEN("IBAN:";D2)-5)
)
);
WENNFEHLER(
GLÄTTEN(
TEIL(D2;
FINDEN("Kto/IBAN:";D2)+9;
WENN(ISTFEHLER(FINDEN("BLZ/BIC:";D2));
22;
FINDEN("BLZ/BIC:";D2)-FINDEN("Kto/IBAN:";D2)-9)
)
);
""
)
)Then save the Excel as a CSV. Essential: You have to save it as CSV, not as CSV UTF-8 (Excel standard is UTF-8), save. Unfortunately, Buhl did not include this important tip in the documentation, but only noted it in the forum in 2019: CSV import fails - Web - Buhl Software Forum

This makes it possible to have the columns filled in automatically by the Excel formula and thus to import the values separately into the Wiso or Buhl Finanzblick. The self-created columns can be selected here via dropdown.

If you forget to do this, the CSV import process unfortunately ends with a meaningless error message.

Currently we can only present this import guide for Comdirect. Please send us an e-mail to info@konfuzio.com and let us know which banks we can include. Please send us an anonymized export from your bank of at least ten incoming and ten outgoing transactions from your account. This is the only way we can develop the right Excel formulas and correctly process all the different formatting in these formulas.
