Information on data processing
1. website use
Every time a user accesses a page from the Helm & Nagel GmbH website and every time a file is retrieved, data about this process is collected and used for the duration of the usage process to provide the content of the website. Each time our pages are accessed or a file is retrieved, further data is also collected and stored in a log file.
In detail, each data set consists of:
- the page from which the file was requested (referrer),
- the name of the retrieved file,
- the date and time of the request,
- the amount of data transferred,
- the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.),

4. website registration
If desired, the data subject can register on the Helm & Nagel GmbH website by providing personal data. The personal data required in addition to the use of the website that is transmitted to Helm & Nagel GmbH is specified in the registration form.

Personal data from inquiries (e.g. email address, name and other contact details) that we receive via the web forms or email addresses (e.g. [email protected] or [email protected]) are stored on our mail server and processed for the purpose of handling the inquiry. A process is created in our electronic process system for inquiries.
Personal data from inquiries (e.g. e-mail address, names and other contact details) that are collected in the case of telephone inquiries are collected for the purpose of processing the inquiry. If inquiries are received by post, the same procedure is followed.
There is no obligation to provide personal data for inquiries. However, a response to the inquiry can only be made if we can contact the inquirer.
The processing of personal data in inquiries is generally already permitted either under Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR (fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measure) or under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
6. e-mail communication
Inquiries and website registrations offer people the opportunity to contact Helm & Nagel GmbH. Helm & Nagel GmbH informs these persons at regular intervals by e-mail about malfunctions, changes and news.
Helm & Nagel GmbH emails may contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a thumbnail image embedded in such e-mails that is sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. This enables a statistical analysis of the success or failure of the email communication. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, the Helm & Nagel GmbH may see if and when an e-mail was opened by a data subject, and which links in the e-mail were clicked on by data subjects, in order to optimize the e-mail delivery and to better tailor the content of future e-mails to the interests of the data subject.

We use the Brevo service (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin) to support our communication and marketing measures. Personal data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or to fulfill a contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Data is only transferred to third countries if suitable guarantees are in place (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses).
